Tuesday we made a donation of 12 comfort bags to the funeral home that took care of Laken. They were so good to us when we were going through the most horrible time. I wanted to give back and help them help other grieving parents by giving them comfort bags of items to remember their little someone by. Items included in the comfort bags are teddy bears, journals, pens, Angel Pennies, Pregnancy and infant loss bracelets, flower seed packets, guardian angel pocket cards, etc. They were pleased to get the bags along with hand/footprint molds and wisp of hair cards as they know some mothers forget to do those things during a shocking and terrible time. The most important items in the bags though, are the brochures and post cards of information of guidance. When we lost our baby, we weren't told what to do next. We weren't given guidance to the next step. It makes me happy to know that people will receive these bags and know that they're not alone.
